The website you are visiting was created using CityRoom’s new “Fibeas” invention.  Fibeas, (or “fast internet-based editorial admin system”), is a PHP-based, search engine optimized, magazine-format website with a simple, yet sophisticated, back-end administration system that allows companies to quickly publish and edit optimized web content using an interface similar to Microsoft® Word.

The Front-end (what the user sees):

Fibeas sites contain search-engine optimized blog-style articles, combining HTML text and images.  Articles may also contain Flash images, form content, and other rich and dynamic content. 

            Up to five articles may be displayed on the site’s homepage at any time.  Articles that are not selected for homepage display are moved to archives that are accessible from the homepage.  The sites may have unlimited archives. 

            Articles are displayed on the left-hand side of the page.  The narrower right-column of a Fibeas site is used for displaying iGoogle Gadgets, banner advertisements, Facebook “Fan Boxes”, Twitter links, and other links to both internal and external content.

The Back-end (what the administrator sees):

Fibeas is designed to be fast and easy.  Administrators (or “users”) may operate from one of two permission levels.  New users may be assigned the role “Admin” or “Editor.”  “Admins” are given full control, including the ability to add and delete other users. Admins are generally the site’s webmaster or project manager, the company CEO, and the Editor in Chief.  The “Editor” role, however, is more limited.  Editors can add articles, choose article order, etc., but they cannot add other users or access some other advanced areas of the admin.  For both roles, no graphics, programming or HTML experience is needed, so anyone can start and maintain their own income-generating editorial web-magazine using Fibeas.  On the other hand, ; the rapidity at which one can publish and edit articles makes Fibeas also a great solution for web-professionals who do have experience with graphics and programming.
